The Client

CGI was delivering services for Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. Fluid worked as its connectivity delivery partner across an estate of 80 sites in Milton Keynes and Greater London.

The Challenge

The programme required equipment and wireless connectivity to be delivered consistently across many healthcare locations. Installation needed to account for each site’s conditions, minimise migration downtime and coordinate several teams.

Our Delivery

Central procurement and staging
Equipment was brought together at Fluid’s premises, where it was preconfigured and tested before delivery to each site.
Detailed wireless surveys
Surveys established the access point numbers and coverage needed at individual locations.
Site deployment and communication
Fluid maintained dialogue with CGI’s project managers, NHS site management and installation teams, so unforeseen issues could be identified and resolved quickly.
On-site support
The engagement included support for on-site activities following installation.

The Results

The staged delivery approach reduced the configuration work needed at individual sites and helped limit migration downtime.

CGI’s published feedback describes Fluid’s agility, NHS experience and regular communication. At the time the statement was given, the programme was nearing its end and tracking to its time and cost targets.
