WAN, Internet and SD-WAN
WAN, Internet and SD-WAN connectivity for your business
Bring your sites, people and cloud services together with the right connections. Fluid Infrastructure Services provides WAN and business Internet services, alongside SD-WAN design and delivery.
Why this matters
Cloud applications and distributed teams depend on connections that are appropriate for each location. Capacity, provider availability and resilience all matter, along with how traffic is managed across the network.
How we can help
The proposal defines the work, deliverables and responsibilities for your project.
Business Internet services
Plan Internet connectivity around your applications, bandwidth requirements, site availability and operational needs.
WAN connectivity
Connect offices, branches and business locations with a coordinated wide-area network design.
Resilience planning
Assess alternative connections and failure scenarios where continuity is a priority.
SD-WAN design and rollout
Manage site connectivity and traffic policies around your agreed network architecture.
Provider and migration coordination
Coordinate service availability, delivery dependencies and cutover arrangements.
WAN and SD-WAN technology platforms
We select Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN, Cisco Meraki or Fortinet around your sites, applications and support needs. Circuit availability, resilience, hardware and licensing are agreed as part of the design.
Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN
Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN provides central management and policy control for distributed networks. Fluid can design the WAN architecture, coordinate site migration and configure connectivity around your business applications and existing infrastructure.
- Central configuration, policy management and visibility across connected sites.
- Application-aware routing using measured path performance and agreed traffic policies.
- Segmentation and resilient connectivity across suitable WAN transports, with failover tested during delivery.
Cisco Meraki
Cisco Meraki MX appliances combine cloud-managed connectivity with SD-WAN capabilities. Fluid can plan site-to-site connections, configure traffic policies and use Dashboard visibility to support the day-to-day operation of your WAN.
- Central Dashboard management and Auto VPN connectivity between supported sites.
- VPN path selection and traffic preferences based on link performance and application needs.
- Multiple WAN uplinks, monitoring and failover arrangements suited to the selected appliances.
Fortinet
Fortinet Secure SD-WAN combines WAN traffic control with FortiGate network security. Fluid can design and configure site connectivity, application steering and security policies together, with capabilities matched to the selected equipment and subscriptions.
- Application-aware steering across available WAN links using defined performance policies.
- Firewall and VPN controls coordinated with site connectivity and segmentation.
- Link-health monitoring and resilience policies, with management and reporting agreed for your environment.
Our approach
We establish the site requirements, investigate viable connectivity options and agree the design. Delivery plans account for provider lead times, local installation and cutover dependencies. Testing validates the agreed connectivity and failover requirements.
Common questions
Useful starting points before we discuss your project.
Is SD-WAN the right choice for every site?
It depends on your estate, applications, management needs and available circuits. We assess the case before recommending an approach.
Does a second circuit guarantee resilience?
Resilience depends on physical routes, upstream dependencies, equipment and configuration. These factors need to be assessed as part of the design.
